And yet there is still more #Busking with Frankie #Spokane

Today’s adventure took me once again to the ever welcoming  Spokane South Hill.  I played a lunch set and had a great time.  Some super generous people stopped by.  Thank you for the financial support and the kind words!  For those of you who stopped to listen for a while, you should know, you are very much appreciated.

The street fair was wonderful. The nice lady at the booth next to where Dwayne and I were roasting loaned us a mini personal fan and saved the day! I saw friends from North Park and former students and parents from Shaw. I also got to talk to strangers which is always groovy for me.

If you missed my little show, look for me out busking this summer. In the mean time, you can order one of my new cds right here at frankieghee.com.

If you want a preview, check me out on cdbaby.com/cd/frankieghee. You can download music there as well!

Today was lovely.  I performed outside of the Dollar Tree on 29th for a very nice group of people.  Some of my new cds found new homes.  Yay!

If you haven’t gotten your copy of “I-90 to Spokane…Then Left onto Sherman St.,” I still have a few left 🙂  You can purchase one here or catch me at the Garland Street Fair this weekend.  I will be singing from 11a-1p on Lincoln and Garland or near by.

Here is a tiny bit of Cyndi Lauper’s “Time After Time”

So far, this summer has been the gift that keeps on giving.  Beautiful weather, wonderful places to sing, and recently, I had the opportunity to do some recording with two very talented and patient producers/sound engineers.  I visited Layloni Ghee in Great Falls Montana, and Troy Gunter in Lacey, Washington.  The reward for our time in studio is my first solo cd, I-90 to Spokane…Then Left on Sherman St.   The 13 original songs on the disk span my songwriting journey from my preteens back in Great Falls to this year in Spokane.

You can get your Frankie Ghee Cd  right here at frankieghee.com for $10 or you can catch me at one of my outdoor performances and get a cd with your donation.

We will resume our regularly scheduled program, #Busking with Frankie, already in progress

A quiet night in Spokane. Very pleasant. Here is some of SHOW ME written by Chrissie Hynde of the 80’s sensation The Pretenders

And now, back to #Busking with Frankie

Frankie sings “You Send Me” by Sam Cooke (clip)

Today, I was singing away on the South Hill, outside near Rite Aid and Jimmy John’s, you know, over by the Trader Joe’s.  I almost didn’t go because it looked like it was going to rain, but low and behold, it was perfect weather for singing, not too hot or bright  but not dreary.

I sang to a family of birds that hangs out on the roof of the restaurant across the parking lot.

The clouds were dark and interesting, and the people who stopped by were kind.  There were lots of smiling faces and lots of little kids which is fun for me.

Thanks again to everyone who passed by and gave a nod or a thumbs up, and thanks to those few who stayed a while and hung out with me for a song or two.

Stay tuned for part…umm..6? in our ongoing saga BUSKING WITH FRANKIE.

#Busking with Frankie the Sequel part III/ The Sun Shines on Huckleberry’s! Catch it in theaters this summer

By “theaters,” I mean, you know, computers and phones and such things.  This is “Into the Fire” by Thirteen Senses.

#LiveMusic #Free #Spokane

Hi All,

Today, my master plan (mwahahaha) is to brave the heat and head to Huckleberry’s on Monroe and 9th street south sometime before 4pm and stay for a couple of hours singing away for whomever stops by. Your mission (should you choose to accept it) is to meet me there and sit under the sun umbrellas enjoying the awesome scenery and relaxing shade.

It would be really cool to see you. I invite you to sing along

What? Frankie Busks? Who Knew? Live, Live, Live Spokane!

This is the real deal people!   Live Music on the surface of the planet where we all live.  At one point a moth attacked me.  Ask anyone.  I find moths really quite unsettling, so I ended up smiling like a crazy person in the middle of a sad song which was better than my instinct to throw down the guitar and run for the car.  The really good news is that Spokane was beautiful today.  Did you see how blue the sky was?

Thanks to all the kind souls who stopped by the Dollar Tree on 29th

If you have an upcoming event or gathering that would benefit from some real live music, hire me!

In the mean time, enjoy this beautiful moment.
